This course offers a systematic analysis of the educational and developmental frameworks derived from ancient Near Eastern and Greco-Roman texts. Rather than serving as a practical guide for adherents, the curriculum examines "Biblical Parenting" as a historical model of family sociology and moral philosophy. Students will explore how these texts define the roles of authority, the nature of childhood, and the mechanisms of value transmission within a communal and domestic setting.

The course investigates the social and historical contexts that shaped these parental norms and analyzes their long-term influence on Western domestic structures and legal traditions.
