This course provides a comprehensive investigation into Philosophical and Theological Anthropology, treating the concept of "the human being" as a subject of rigorous intellectual and historical inquiry. Rather than focusing on biological evolution, the curriculum examines the diverse frameworks through which human identity, purpose, and nature have been defined and debated within Western and Global thought systems.
Students will explore how different eras have constructed the definition of "the person," examining the interplay between individual agency, social structures, and metaphysical theories.
